35 Pokes August Tournament
35 Pokes hosts a tournament every month! August has just started its Pools Stage and soon will commence the Bracket Stage which is a Single Elimination tournament from there on. Whoever comes on top and win the whole tournament will get to cement themselves as the Champion of the August 2024 Metagame, a title that cannot be taken away from the winner!
Many former champions and finalist have entered, as well as many newcomers and dedicated 35 Pokes players alike. However, 3 of the top players in the community are missing; Shifty, BigShoota, and Dacruize. WHO WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE AND WIN?

OBSERVATIONS AND Meta Development
August has proven to be a fun, diverse, and competitive month for 35 Pokes! No one Pokemon is too overcentralizing, but top threats are still recognizable and allow for healthy teambuilding. Scizor and Heracross are notably the top threats of the meta with Blissey, Mandibuzz, Rotom-Heat and Lanturn being top picks to create strong backbones in teams. Mamoswine, Muk-Alola, and Braviary-Hisui all prove to be powerful offensive threats in their own right. Chesnaught, Dhelmise, Fezandipiti, and Runerigus have important niches they fill that can turn the tide in their favor. Many more Pokemon are viable as well, it’s looking like an exciting month to play 35 Pokes!
